CTM: Migration from Skype to Teams

• What will happen to my existing scheduled Skype meetings? Existing Skype meetings will get automatically converted to a Teams meeting. You will then need to use the Teams app to facilitate any screen sharing in the meeting.

• What will happen when I launch Skype? If you try to launch Skype without an active license you will get an error that says: 'Your organization is now using Microsoft Teams!'

• What will happen if someone with Skype tries to chat with me? The chat should magically appear in your Teams chat window as if you were both using Teams. However, file sharing via the chat session will no longer work.

• Will I still be able to schedule a Skype meeting in Outlook? No the option in the ribbon for a Skype meeting will no longer be available. FAQ on Sharepoint Office 365 training site
