Layer List
All of the layers can be turned on/off by checking/unchecking the box to the left of the layer name.
Click the 3 dots to the right of a layer for options: you can Zoom to the layer or Show/Hide labels
The layers have visibility ranges set, so if a layer is greyed out you need to zoom in farther for it to become visible.

Bookmarks
Bookmarks have already been created for all AISD schools and some other schools that already have school zone beacons in the data.
Users can add additional bookmarks by clicking the Add button at the top left. A new bookmark will be created at the bottom of the list, which can be edited or deleted. Each user will only see their Bookmarks.

Editing
Use the Edit Option to create new features.
Click on the type of feature you want to add, then go to the location in the map and click to add the new feature (when you are in edit mode, it will say "click to add a point" next to the cursor).
After you are finished adding new points, click on another option like the Layer List so you do not continue creating new features when clicking on the map.

Working in the Map
Only the School Zone Beacons Audit and Web-IOs layers are editable in the Map.
Editing: Steps for creating a new feature, moving a feature, and removing an old feature
Assigning Addresses: Steps for assigning an address to a Beacon or Clock
Working in the Field: How to access the map on a tablet in the field
Beacon/Clock Attributes: Attribute field descriptions for the Beacons and Clocks
Web-IO Attributes: Attribute field descriptions for the Web-IOs
Edit Attributes of Existing Feature
Click on the feature you want to edit
Pop-up opens, click the 3 dots in the lower right
Another pop-up opens, click Edit
Editable Attribute Window will open, edit fields, click Close button at the bottom.
Note: At this point you are in Edit Mode. The Edit button has been activated on the left side of the screen. The next time you click on a feature the Attribute Window will automatically open.
When you are finished editing features, click on the Layer List or Bookmarks to exit Edit Mode.

Move an Existing Feature
You need to be in Edit Mode to move features to different locations.
When you select a feature and it becomes a light pink circle it is editable and can be moved.
Move your cursor over the feature (the cursor will become a hand), and click and hold and drag your mouse to move the feature.

If you move a feature accidentally there is an Undo button at the bottom of the Edit section on the left side of the screen.

Add a New Feature
Click on the Edit button on the top left of the screen, the Edit templates will be available below.
Click on the feature you want to add, then click on the map to add the new feature (the location will be added based on the point of the arrow on the cursor).
A blank Attribute Window will open for the fields to be filled out, click the Close button at bottom when finished.

Remove an Old Feature
Deletion of features is not allowed on this data to prevent any oops moments from occurring
Both the School Zone Beacons and Web-IO layers both have a Status field that will be coded to New, OK, or Remove when editing.
School Zone Beacons / Clocks: Beacon Status field
Web-IO: Web-IO Status field
If an existing feature needs to be removed from the data, select Remove for this field
After you close the Attribute Table and move the map the feature will no longer be visible as all features with a Status of "Remove" will not be visible to the users.

Assigning Addresses to Beacons / Clocks
You will be assigning addresses to the features in the School Zone Beacons layer.
The addresses are being created to assist in finding feature locations in the field.
The Address Points layer will be the best source for assigning the addresses to each feature.
The Street Segment layer is also available if there are no Address Points in the vicinity.
Street Segments are based on address ranges, therefore some judgement must be used in picking the street number.
Address on Same Side of Street
If the Beacon /Clock feature is located in front of a parcel with an address, assign the feature the same address as the parcel it's located in front of.

Address on Opposite Side of Street
If the Beacon / Clock feature is located on the opposite side of the street of the addresses on the same street, assign the feature an address that is opposite of what is available (odd vs. even). In the example below, since even addresses are on the left, odd addresses would be on the right.

No Address on Same Street Segment
If the Beacon / Clock feature is located on a street segment where there are no addresses, you may need to look down the street for other addresses. In the example below, the Beacon-Clock is on the other side of the intersection of any addresses located on Loyola Ln.

No Address on Street
If the Beacon / Clock feature is located on a street that does not have addresses, you may need to look at a parallel street in the vicinity. In the example below, the Beacon-Clock is located on La Crosse Ave, but there are no addresses on La Crosse Ave. Brecourt Manor Way is a parallel street, therefore the addressing will follow a similar address range.
