Assumptions:

You already have the MS Teams desktop app installed

Option 1: Open Outlook and go to the calendar tab

You’ll see on the menu bar these options. It will add a remote meeting link to your meeting invite and a phone number for users to call. You can choose to call in using the phone line or using your computer to be on the call (headphones may be required). When using laptops some can allow you talk through your computer’s microphone.

When you click the "New Teams Meeting".

Your invite will add "Microsoft Teams Meeting" as the location of the meeting and insert a link to "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" with a call-in number.

Option 2: Open Teams desktop app and go to calendar tab

If you already have the MS Teams desktop installed, open the application and navigate to the "Calendar" tab. Click the "+ New meeting" at the top right corner.

Step 1: Click on the calendar

Then a new meeting invite window will appear

Step 2: Invite people

Click on the field to "Invite People", you can search by their first or last name and click on their name when it appears.

Click "Schedule" when you've filled out all the pertinent details about your meeting (ex. Name, Start Time, End Time, etc...)

When your meeting has been successfully saved you'll see it on your Teams calendar and Outlook Calendar since they're tied together.
