How to Cancel a Request
1. Cancel a Standalone Single Day Request
Navigate to the Event Request Details page for the request
Click Update Status and then select Cancelled.
Select Cancellation Reason.
Specify reason if you selected Other.
Click Submit to save.
The request will appear in Cancelled status and an automatic notification email will go out to the requestor.
2. Cancel an Entire Multi-Day Request
Navigate to the Multi-Day Event Request Details page for the request.
Click Update Status and then select Cancelled.
Select Cancellation Reason.
Specify reason if you selected Other.
Click Submit to save.
The request will appear in Cancelled status and an automatic notification email will go out to the requestor.
All the Single Day Requests connected to the Multi-Day Request will also appear in Cancelled status with the same Cancellation Reason and specification (where applicable).
3. Cancel a Single Day Request Connected to a Multi-Day Request
Overview: to cancel a single day request connected to a multi-day request, you must first disconnect it from the multi-day request and then cancel it like a standalone single day request.
Navigate to the Multi-Day Event Request Details page for the request.
Click Manage Connected Single Day Requests.
From the list of connected single day requests, find the one(s) you wish to cancel and click x by them in the list to disconnect them.
Click Submit to save.
The single day request no longer appears on the Multi-Day Request Details page. Navigate to the Special Events Requests landing page to find the newly disconnected single day request and cancel it as described in step 1 above.
