# Start Center and Portlets

## Meaning of Start Center Terms and Icons

|                 | Definition                                                                                                                                     |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Start Center    | a page that gives users quick access to tools, work orders, and portlets as it pertains to the scope of work                                   |
| Portlet         | displays the results of a saved query in either a list or chart format                                                                         |
| Query           | a request for data or information from a database table or combination of tables                                                               |
| Work Order (WO) | Work Order; a document that includes all the details of maintenance tasks and outlines a process for completing those tasks                    |
| CSR             | Customer Service Request; a ticket that captures information about a request, including the type of service, who needs it, where, when and why |
| DTS             | Data and Technology Services; Transportation Public Works’ Information Technology division.                                                    |

Review all reports within Street and Bridge Operations

**Profile**

Review your account’s profile to ensure all your information is accurate

**Log Out**

To completely sign out of Maximo, click the Log Out button

**Favorite Applications**

Use the Favorite Applications portlet in your Start Center to display the applications that you use frequently.

**Report List**

The Report List portlet displays the reports that you use frequently. Clicking a report in the portlet runs the report.
