Submit a Work Order | Technician

1. Navigate to either My Work Orders page

2. Click on details icon under "My Work Orders" table, in the Details column

This will open the work order details page

3. Ensure all required sections are complete:

DOSA

  • Click +Add DOSA button

  • Select all that apply on the Traffic Control Set-up field

  • Select all that apply on the Hazards Present field

  • Choose a selection on the Required Permits in Place field

  • Confirm that you have Checked Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required on Job Site?

  • Confirm that I have discussed proper setup and safety precautions with all staff on site. under the DOSA Acknowledgement section.

  • Click Submit DOSA to add record

Time Log

  • Click +Add Time Log button

  • Begin typing Technician name into the field for the search to activate and provide a list of users

  • Click the Vehicles field to type in a name of vehicle or to scroll and search the vehicle list

  • Review Issue Received Date, modify if necessary

  • Review Arrived at Worksite, modify if necessary

  • Use the date picker to select a date and time for Leave Work Site

  • Use the date picker to select a date for Return to Shop / Home

  • Click Add Log Entry to add record

Completed Work

  • Click +Add Completed Work button

  • Select Work Group and use the drop-down to select the appropriate group

    • AMD Staff

    • Non-AMD Staff

    • Technicians

    • Signal Engineers

    • Construction Inspectors

  • Click the Component Name field to type in a name of component

  • Click the Action field to scroll and search the action list

  • Click Submit to add record

Inventory Items
  • Click +Add Inventory Item button

  • Begin by typing into the Item search field to locate the inventory item to be selected

**If no inventory was used, select "No Inventory Used | EA"

  • Enter a number of requested inventory items into the Quantity field

  • Select Source and use the drop-down to select the appropriate source

    • Warehouse Inventory

    • Working Stock - New

    • Working Stock - Used

    • Contractor Supply

    • Other

  • Enter a Comment - OPTIONAL

  • Click Add Item to add a inventory item request

You'll see the inventory items added to the table

Preventative Maintenance log - OPTIONAL

Fill in Preventative Maintenance form

  • Click +Add Preventative Maintenance button

  • Select PM Asset Owner and use the drop-down to select the appropriate owner

  • Use the date picker to select a date and time for the Maintenance Date

  • Select Intersection Type and use the drop-down to select the appropriate type

  • Select Overall Condition and use the drop-down to select the appropriate type

  • Select all that apply for PM Categories field

** When "School Zones" is selected on PM Categories, new "School Zones" column appears (see below)

Fill in "Identify Infrastructure" section

  • Choose selection for:

    • New Turn On? (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Pre-emption? (Yes - working, Not working, N/A)

** These fields only shows when "BBS" selected on PM Categories:

  • BBS (Yes, Working, Not working, N/A)

  • Enter BBS IP Address

  • Choose selection for:

    • Communication? (Yes, No)

    • Communication Type (Switch, Cell, Modem)

  • Enter 2070 Module Type

  • Choose selection for:

    • Monitor Replaced ?(Yes, No)

  • Enter Monitor IP Address

  • Choose selection for:

    • Controller Type (Eagle/Siemans, McCain, Econolite)

    • Cabinet Type (332, 336, ITS, ATC, 350, 352)

    • Detection Type (Loop, Video, Radar)

Fill in "PM Tasks"

  • Enter Location of Graffiti

  • Select all that apply for Signal Head Obstructions

Check Assets

  • Choose selection for:

    • Locate all pull boxes (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check loops/video/radar detection (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check DC Isolators (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check Pedestrian buttons (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check audible beepers (Yes, No, N/A)

Cleaning & Maintaining

  • Choose selection for:

    • Clean trash from pull box (Yes, No)

    • Clean trash from signal pole (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Level all signal heads/Clean signal faces (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Pull in one mule tape per conduit (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Installing missing pole caps and hand hole covers (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Weed eat around all signal poles and cabinets (Yes, No, N/A)

School Zones

  • Select Clock Type and use the drop-down to select the appropriate type

  • Enter # of WBCUs

  • Enter # of Flashers

  • Choose selection for:

    • Cut tree limbs (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check flasher head (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check Terminal Strip Connectors (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check Speed Limit and Cell Phone signs (Yes, No, N/A)

    • Check time of day (Yes, No)

    • AC Power (OK, REPAIR)

    • Solar Power (OK, REPAIR)

  • Enter # of Solar Panels

  • Enter # of Batteries

  • Enter Battery Voltage

  • Click Submit to add record

4. Click Submit Work Order when all required sections are completed

  • If not, error notifications will appear, as seen below:

  • If all require sections are completed then,

5. Confirm that Checked All Peds, Colors, Buttons, Detection, Program

6. Check box for Follow-Up Needed - OPTIONAL

7. Check box for Submit Work Ticket

8. Click Submit Work Order button to submit the work order

Work Order Status will turn to: Submitted

and will require a review a supervisor review before it can be closed
