Create and Update GRIDSMART and Video Detection records in the Data Tracker

Create a new Gridsmart or Video Detection Record

1. Login: http://transportation.austintexas.io/data-tracker/#home/

2. Below Asset Management click Signals

3. Search for the signal at which the device will be installed. You can search by street name, landmark, or traffic signal ID.

4. In the search results, click Details (menu icon) to open the signal details.

5. Review the signal details and verify that this is correct location to install the device. Scroll down the page until you see Detection section.

6. Complete the Add Detector form. Making sure to select the appropriate type, directions, and movements. IP Address and Installation Date are required for Gridsmart and video detection camera detectors.

7. Click Add Detector to submit the detector information.

The setup process is complete.

Downstream changes will be reflected in the data hub, GIS, and open data portal within approximately one hour.

Edit an existing Gridsmart or Video Detection Record

Follow this process to update a detection device. If the device is being moved contact john.clary@austintexas.gov

1. Login: http://transportation.austintexas.io/data-tracker/#home/

2. Below Asset Management click Signals

3. Search for the Signal where the detection device is located. You can search by street name, landmark, or signal ID.

4. In the search results, click Details (menu icon) to open the signal details.

5. Verify the current signal is the correct location wish to edit. Scroll down the page until you see Detection section. From the Detection table, click Details (menu icon) to view detector details.

6. From the detector details page, click Edit Detector

7. Update device details as need. Click Submit to submit changes.

Downstream changes will be reflected in the data hub, GIS, and open data portal within approximately one hour.
