How locations are used
It is best when we can reference an asset or request to a location. The location is the underlying X,Y location. We associate various assets to these locations (ex. signals, cameras, hazard flashers, school zone beacons and signal/phb requests).

Automated Processes explained
When you add new street segments as a location the script street_seg_updater.py updates (hourly) the Knack street segments with data from COA ArcGIS Online Street Segment feature service.
