Close a Work Order | Supervisor

  1. Navigate to either Work Orders - Technicians page

Review the work order sections:

  • Daily Operations Safety Assessments (DOSA)

  • Time Log

  • Scheduled Work Tasks

  • Completed Work

  • Inventory Items

  • Preventative Maintenance log - OPTIONAL

Work Order Menu Options:

Assign to Technician
  • Click button Assign to Technician

On this page, you may:

  • change the Lead Technician in order to reassign the work to another technician

  • change the Support Technician(s) in order to add additional technicians to the work order

  • Add a Supervisor Comment - OPTIONAL

  • Click Re-Assign when finished

Add Attachment/Image
  • Click button +Add Attachment/Image

  • Under Attachment, click Choose File to browse the files on your computer and upload a file that is in one of the accepted file formats: .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc.

or

  • Under Image, click Choose File to browse the files on your computer and upload a file that is in one of the accepted file formats: .jpg, .png.

  • Click Submit when finished to create an attachment/image record

Add Comments
  • Click button +Add Comments

  • Add a comment in the Comment field

  • Click Submit to add a record

Edit Work Order
  • Click button Edit Work Order

Update Workgroup - Supervisor access only

  • Choose a selection for Workgroup

Edit Work Order fields

Review fields to edit:

  • Select Assigned Work Group and use the drop-down to select the appropriate group

  • Technicians

  • Timing Engineers

  • Construction Services

  • Communications

  • Select Asset Type and use the drop-down to select the appropriate asset

  • Signal

  • Camera

  • Digital Messaging

  • Sign (DMS)

  • Dynamic Speed Display Device (DSDD)

  • Flashing Beacon

  • School Beacon

  • School Beacon Zone

  • Sensor

  • Other / No Asset

When all sections have been reviewed, supervisor will Close Work Order

Close Work Order
  • Click button Close Work Order

  • Enter a Supervisor Comment

  • Click Close Work Order when finished

Check if Follow-up Needed field is Yes, if so:

  • Click button Follow-up Work Order

Create a Follow-up Work Order | Trouble Call
  • Confirm the Original Work Order ID field matches the Original Work Order ID

  • Choose selection for Work Type field

    • Trouble Call

  • Choose selection for Problem Reported field

  • Click Save & Continue

Create a Follow-up Work Order | Scheduled Work
  • Confirm the Original Work Order ID field matches the Original Work Order ID

  • Choose selection for Work Type field

    • Scheduled Work

  • Click Save & Continue

  • Check that the View Follow-UP Work Order field and the Work Order ID field match

  • Start typing keyword for scheduled task, choose selection for Scheduled Work Task

  • Click Add Work Task

  • Confirm record has been added to table

  • If more tasks need to be added

  • Click Save & Continue
