Awards and Recognition Process

The Austin Transportation and Public Work's Employee Recognition Awards express gratitude to employees made toward strategic goals, projects and daily operations. We want to recognize employees for performance above and beyond normal expectations to a commendable for excelling level and for demonstrating the core values of team work, inclusion, customer service, integrity, or ethical behavior.

Committee Self-Nomination Process

  • Employee self nominate to their Division Manager - we will ask the employees to get approval from their supervisor before self-nominating

  • Division Manager (DM) reviews and submits one final nominee via form

    • SBO & Transportation Operations will have 2 nominees. If multiple employees are interested & the DM can't select 1 person

      • Nominations go to the HR team to compile nominees,

      • then the Assistant Director for final review/selection based on your service area portfolios

  • Selected committee members acknowledge the Committee Agreement

Committee Division Manager Process

  • Division Manager (DM) nominates employee - we will ask the Division Managers discuss with the employee and supervisor to get their understanding and commitment before nominating.

  • Nominations go to the HR team to compile nominees,

  • then the Assistant Director for final review/selection based on your service area portfolios
