Receiving Sign Deployment Request

Signs & Markings staff will be notified by MMC staff that temporary stop signs are needing to be dispatched in an emergency scenario.

At this point, the MMC will have begun entering Emergency Sign Deployment work orders and the work orders needing dispatched will be in a Sign Requested Status.

Depending on the scenario, Supervisors have the option to:

1. Leave work orders unassigned and assign staff to area of Austin or assign all work orders to the Technician on call.

2. Assign work orders to individual staff to address.

Deploying/Installing Temporary Signs:

Signs & Markings Technicians will dispatch to the field, install the temporary stop signs, flip the signal to FLASH and click the “Deploy Sign” check mark.

Signs & Markings Technicians will complete the Deploy Sign form and click Submit. Status of the work order will move into “Sign Deployed”.
