The data presented here comes straight from Census Bureau public Response Rate API. Here are links to their documentation: Their API only returns data for the most recent date available so we've created a feed of data aggregated by geography on a daily basis which enables us to monitor response rate data over time as opposed to only having the current status or snapshot.

Each row in the database represents the response rate on a certain date for a certain geography. The geographies we are following include

1) Census tracts in Travis County and 4 neighboring counties

2) the 12 largest counties in Texas and

3) the 30 largest cities in the US.

Every day, 543 new records get added to this dataset.

The UID is a requirement for the Socrata platform. It has no relation to an individual household. It represents the date and the GEOID concatenated to ensure we don't get duplicate records for the same geography on a certain date.
